The Mission

Our mission is to provide the finest quality product that incorporates our clients individual needs and style. Customer Satisfaction will remain our priority as we continue to move forward as one of Simcoe County and Muskoka Region’s premier asphalt pavers.

Asphalt Paving

Hot Mix Asphalt is typically what one thinks of when installing driveways of new homes. It’s by far one of the least expensive methods for paving a surface in new home construction sites.

Properly installed asphalt paved driveways have a life expectancy of about a decade or more. Hot Mix Asphalt is and will always be the best alternative for those seeking to pave surfaces in a flexible manner.

Hot mix asphalt

Hot mix asphalt (commonly abbreviated as HMA) is produced by heating the asphalt binder to decrease its viscosity, and drying the aggregate to remove moisture from it prior to mixing.

Mixing is generally performed with the aggregate at about 300 °F (roughly 150 °C) for virgin asphalt and 330 °F (166 °C) for polymer modified asphalt, and the asphalt cement at 200 °F (95 °C). Paving and compaction must be performed while the asphalt is sufficiently hot.

In many cities, paving is restricted to summer months because in winter the compacted base will cool the asphalt too much before it is packed to the optimal air content. HMA is the form of asphalt most commonly used on highly trafficked pavements such as those on major highways/roads, parking-lots and driveways.

mix_1

HL3 is a dense-graded surface course mix that can be used in parking lots or for residential driveways, it consists of 13mm Clear Stone, blended with Asphalt Sand and Asphalt cement. (This asphalt is recommended for asphalt driveways over the HL3A, it is stronger and more durable).

HL3A

HL3A is a fine-graded mix that can be used in tennis/sports courts and low traffic/light duty areas, it consists of less 13mm Clear Stone than the HL3, and has more Asphalt Sand and Asphalt cement.

HL4 MIX

HL4 is a dense-graded course mix used as a surface or binder course on low volume roads and parking lots. The mix consists of a 19mm Clear stone, blended with Asphalt Sand and Asphalt Cement.

HL8 is a course-graded mix that can be used in high traffic areas with heavy volume/heavy loads (truck traffic).  The mix consists of a 25mm(1″) Clear stone, blended with Asphalt Sand and Asphalt Cement.
